CMR to meet July 19 in Biloxi

BILOXI, Miss. – The state Commission on Marine Resources will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19.

The meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Bolton Building, 1141 Bayview Ave. in Biloxi.

During the meeting, the Commission’s newest member, Mark H. Havard II, will be sworn in. Havard was chosen by Gov. Phil Bryant to represent recreational fishermen. He replaces Shelby Drummond.

An agenda for the meeting is attached.

The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources is dedicated to enhancing, protecting and conserving marine interests of the state by managing all marine life, public trust wetlands, adjacent uplands and waterfront areas to provide for the optimal commercial, recreational, educational and economic uses of these resources consistent with environmental concerns and social changes.
